Some of us have been thinking it since the news of Katie Holmes’ pregnancy hit the media fan that maybe, just maybe, Tom wasn’t her baby’s biological father.

Andrew Morton, the author of such steamy unauthorized “tell-alls” as Diana: In Her Own Words and Monica’s Story claims Suri Cruise is a Scientology experiment in sperm donation by the late founder of the Scientology belief system: L. Ron Hubbard.

Does it matter? Probably not any more than it matters whether Tom is secretly gay or not.

Tom seems to truly care for Suri. He appears to be a good father. The rest is about as important as whether Tom sues Morton over allegations made in his new book or chooses to simply ignore it.

Either way, intense media attention showers the Cruises like an Asian Indian summer monsoon, managing to keep a couple of lackluster Hollywood careers alive.
