Eminem About to Become Another Has-Been Who Wrestles for a Living
Hard to believe but reportedly true:
Rapper Eminem, who has been out of sight for quite some time, is about to re-surface in the next few months as a professional wrestler.
Yes, you read that right: wrestler.
As certain previous lackluster notables before him have taken this same route to attempt to bathe in the celebrity spotlight - Andy Kaufman and Tanya Harding, Donald Trump - to name a few.
It’s been said that Eminem (aka Marshall Mathers and Slim Shady) is very serious about becoming a professional wrestler. He’s expected to make his debut in the ring within the next three to four months.
In January of 2008, it was reported by TMZ.com that Eminem was hospitalized over the holidays, suffering complications from pneumonia and subsequent depression. One of those complications was a serious heart condition. Insiders say that his weight also ballooned to 200 lbs from binge eating.
I have no problem with Eminem trying to regain his star status, especially since he is apparently talented enough to have won an Academy Award for his song Lose Yourself as Best Original Song from the semi-autobiographical movie, 8 Mile, in which he made his acting debut in 2002.
This guy is obviously talented. What I’ve never liked about him is the blatant disrespect he has shown his mother, Debbie Mathers, in his rap music.
Anybody who’s a good guy at heart doesn’t call his mother a “bitch” and a “whore,” writing rap songs about raping her.
Sure, you can rage against your mother. You just don’t do it publicly to make a lot of money from it.
It’s just not kosher in my book.
