Cristina Aguilera had the first of her three baby showers on Saturday. Now she and husband Jordan Bratman are not confirming the sex of the child, but the theme of the shower was blue. This makes me wonder, since they’re having three showers, just to throw us all of the scent, will one be blue, one be pink, and one be multi-color?

The shower was at her Beverly Hills manse. And it was supposedly just a gathering of close family and friends. Which included a large group of drag queens, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. We all knew that the drag queens loved her, we just didn’t know how much she loved them.

Oh, and my favorite part of all of these little party gossip stories is the plug that some store calls in to one of the tabloids in order to tell what one of the celebrities bought for Christina, or what her gift registry was. This time we get to out the baby boutique BEL BAMBINI where she set up her registry. Do you think she set it up so it could be published? That’s what I love so much about celebrity gossip. The participants are so moral.

Anyway among the presents bought from Bel Bambini were a blue Loved Mom Guitar shirt, a Cariboo bassinet with blue dot bedding, Trumpette Johnny’s socks – and Sozo Whiz Kid wee block, meant for use when changing a baby boy’s diapers.

Aguilera, 26, formally confirmed her pregnancy to Glamour magazine earlier this month, saying she will “enter into mommyhood” next year.

This will be the first child for Aguilera and her husband, music executive Jordan Bratman. The two were married in November 2005.
