Anna Nicole Smith Died Today

A year has passed since the tragic death of Anna Nicole Smith. She lost her life in a Florida hotel room five months after giving birth to her daughter, Dannie-Lynn, and burying her son, Daniel.
Yes, she was an oddity and something Hollywood often made fun of, but I personally admired her spontaneity and “frankly, I don’t give a damn,” attitude. And the way she loved that son of hers, it was no surprise to me that she followed him so quickly in death.
In memory and honor of Anna, I searched for the picture I thought truly captured and characterized her beauty as both a mother and as a human being. So what if the thing was photoshopped and air-brushed to death. This is the way that I choose to remember her.
